Sams teaching days – Tuesday nights

Sam Wilkinson is a contemporary pianist, saxophonist and bassist. He began learning piano at the age of 8 and hasn’t been able to take his hands off a musical instrument since. Having studied under several teachers at different stages of his own ability, Sam understands and utilises many different teaching techniques in order to best suit his students.

Through his studies in Music Composition at Monash University and Sound Production at RMIT he developed further expertise in music, be it writing, arranging, performance, theory, ear training, sound engineering and mixing.

Currently he is playing keys in the Melbourne based funk band Boss Salmon and Bass in the rock band Bikini Wax.

Having a deep passion for all things music, Sam comes to Jam Studio with a desire to encourage students of all ages to develop their own love for playing and expressing themselves creatively.

Saxophone

Sam has been playing Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone for over 15 years. Having played in many ensembles, he knows just what is required of students looking to join a concert band and elevate their playing to the next level.

With a Bachelor Degree of Music Composition on his belt, he has an expansive understanding of performance, be it beginner or advanced playing.

Having a deep passion for all things music, Sam comes to Jam Studio with a desire to encourage students of all ages to develop their own love for playing and expressing themselves creatively.
