Drum Lessons
With a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Audio Engineering from Collarts, Oly has developed a deep understanding of music’s technical and performance aspects, and is on his way to mastering his craft.
Since 2016, Oly has been sharing his drumming expertise through private lessons. His teaching philosophy centers on helping students discover their innate rhythm and develop a strong foundation in drumming fundamentals, including four-way coordination, stick and foot control, timekeeping, rudiments, groove, pocket, and drum fills.
Oly brings a wealth of knowledge in genres such as funk, jazz, R&B, hip hop, soul, and fusion. His diverse experience includes playing in a pop/punk band that sold out multiple shows, co-founding Branches Records, a label dedicated to amplifying Melbourne’s eclectic artists, and performing with various bands across Melbourne.
Now, as the drummer for the rising pop/soul band Mister Co, Oly continues to seek new performance opportunities. His friendly and positive attitude creates a fun and engaging learning environment, making him a beloved instructor for students of all ages.
